Fans of Charles Dickens's classic novel Great Expectations are in luck as a new TV adaptation of the show has been made.
Adapted by the creator of Peaky Blinders Steven Knight, the new version is said to have a dark and jarring take on the classic story.
Dicken’s novel tells the story of an orphan, Pip, on the hunt to pursue his desire for a greater lot in life, according to the Radio Times.
His life is quickly changed forever after an encounter with an escaped convict and when he is summoned to the house of the wealthy Miss Havisham.
But with Miss Havisham's plans to make the orphan her adopted daughter's companion, Pip has a decision to make.
The newest adaption stars Oscar-winning actress Olivia Colman in the famed role of Miss Havisham.
