Tributes have flooded in for the teenage boy who was stabbed to death in Homerton - now confirmed as Jeremie Malenge.

The 17-year-old Arcola Street resident, also known as “Jdot”, was chased and killed by a group of attackers who fled the scene of the incident.

He was found by police and paramedics on the corner of Homerton High Street and Ponsford Street at 11:40pm and pronounced dead.

Jeremie was a pupil at the Petchey Academy, in Shacklewell Lane, which paid tribute to him on its Facebook page yesterday afternoon: “Very shocked to hear about former student Jeremie. Our thoughts are with his family”.

Friends and family of the teenager have taken to Twitter to pay their respects; @TrishNovacane tweeted: “RIP Jeremy. We love you and we’ll never forget you” and @caprxcee posted: “Rip Cousin Jeremy Also known as Jdot”. Another tweet by @PapiSoulz24 said: “RIP Jdot #RealG Gone too soon.”
