A football club that has worked with Nike and Netflix has launched a new jersey to raise awareness of prostate cancer.

Working with the North East London Cancer Alliance, Hackney Wick FC's latest top shows the 'It's Not A Game' logo, showing its commitment to supporting cancer patients and getting men from all backgrounds to get themselves screened.

Prostate cancer accounted for 26% of cancers diagnosed in men in 2017. It has become more common over the last 30 years and is projected to rise by an additional 12% by 2035.

Bobby Kasanga, founder of Hackney Wick FC, said: “As a football club deeply rooted in our local community, we are incredibly proud to launch this new jersey in partnership with the North East London Cancer Alliance.

"Prostate cancer is a pressing issue that affects so many, particularly in our community, and we’re committed to encouraging men to get regular check-ups while supporting those impacted by the disease.”
