London has seen 10 places in the county named among the best places to live in the UK for 2025, according to Muddy Stilettos.

The women's lifestyle website creates a list of the 'best places to live' every year, and it has expanded its number of entrants from 260 to 300 with London, Yorkshire and Cheshire being added to its regions.

Discussing the list, Hero Brown, the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Muddy Stilettos says, “When people decide to move, they’re searching for more than just a house - they want a home, a lifestyle that works for them and their family, and if they’re strategic, a long-term investment too.

"Our 2025 ‘Top 300 Best Places To Live’ guide will give them that extra reassurance they need to make their search easier in these difficult economic times."

The research for the locations included was completed in association with the estate agent Knight Frank.

Crouch End

The area of Crouch End was described as offering an "elegant, laid-back vibe more akin to a market town than a city, which is highly appealing to families."

Adding that there are a range of exciting aspects from "enticing amount of Indies, including shops, pubs, restaurants and bars, great schools, a couple of cinemas and lots of open, green spaces."

Dartmouth Park

Dartmouth Park, in the Borough of Camden, offers the "best of both worlds" as Muddy Stilettos praises its "Victorian and Edwardian homes, leafy avenues, and a distinctly laid-back vibe."

Describing one of its biggest draws, the outlet says: "One of its biggest draws is its proximity to Hampstead Heath – imagine having one of London’s most loved parks right on your doorstep."

East Dulwich

Simply described as "cool", East Dulwich is said to be the spot for families that want a quaint life with a city close by.

Sharing: "Things to get you in the mood to move include tree-lined Goose Green park, an enviable high street in Lordship Lane and plenty of attractive housing, some with an added splash of street art."

Islington

Islington the "buzzing area" of Islington "blends cool city vibes with a laid-back village feel" writes Muddy Stilettos.

Adding: "Think quirky indie boutiques, a mouth-watering array of restaurants and bars, plus the kind of pubs that beg for lazy Sunday afternoons. Don’t miss the weekly farmers’ market for your artisanal fix."

Kensington

The popular area of Kensington is "globally renowned" as the outlet shares that it is a "fashionable neighbourhood".

Describing the area, they say: "It has serious charm-factor with an architectural pick ‘n’ mix of stunning Victorian townhouses, sprawling villas, and grand white stucco houses."

Queen’s Park

The hidden gem of Queen’s Park already attracts many with it being a hot spot for families and creatives.

Highlighting some of its aspects, Muddy Stilettos shares: "With a luscious 30-acre park as its centre, it’s little wonder celebs like Daniel Craig, Sienna Miller, Dermot O’Leary and Louis Theroux are among its many famous residents."

Teddington

Teddington has a sweet atmosphere with its "village vibe and riverside location" according to the best places to live list.

Describing the go-to place, Muddy Stilettos suggests the West Pronto "to discover the verdant parks, nearby palaces (Hampton Court no less), a pretty high street full of indie shops, scenic river and friendly, community vibe".

Walthamstow

North of the river, Walthamstow is a fairly affordable area with a bright cafe culture, and well-rated schools and is said to be "under the radar".

Sharing: "Loved by families, thanks to plenty of spacious terraced housing and some outstanding schools, yet still a coveted place to live if you’re young, free and single."

Wandsworth 

Offering "quality housing and schools", Wandsworth is said to be a "picturesque common" with lots of creative things to do and see.

Muddy Stilettos writes: "This leafy riverside enclave is punching above its weight in terms of attractive Victorian and Edwardian homes, great schools, amazing transport links  (Gatwick Airport’s a mere 30 mins away and you can travel to Central London by boat on a Thames Clipper!) and acres of green space."

Wimbledon

Wimbledon has a "countryside charm with city convenience" as the last place in London named best to live.

Describing the area, the outlet writes: "Think picture-perfect village streets, 281 (yes!) beautiful parks, and a high street that’s a great mix of indie and indie."
