Police are hunting for a 'hit and run' driver who crashed a car into scaffolding.

Officers were called to reports that a car had crashed with scaffolding in Valentine Road, Homerton, just after 9.30am this morning (October 3).

The car was found abandoned at the scene, with no passengers inside.

The driver has not been found, but police enquiries are ongoing to locate the car’s owner.

London Ambulance Service confirmed that paramedics did not attend the crash.

Valentine Road was shut earlier today, but has since reopened to traffic.
