Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found dead inside a home.
The Metropolitan Police attended an address in Lansdowne Drive, in London Fields, Hackney, at about 12.30am on Monday (January 29) about concerns for the welfare of the occupant.
On arrival, officers found a man dead inside the property.
Enquiries continue to identify and notify his next of kin.
A post-mortem examination held on Wednesday (January 31) found that the man died as a result of injuries caused by an assault, Scotland Yard said.
The Met's Specialist Crime Command have launched a murder investigation. Enquiries are ongoing.
Two men, aged 41 and 31, were arrested on suspicion of murder.
They were taken into custody where they remain.
A crime scene is in place.
