A teenager fired a gun into a group of people and hit a boy, 15, in the leg.
Kamaree Jeffrey, 19, of Elmbridge Walk in Hackney, appeared for trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court yesterday (January 26) after a boy, 15, was injured in a shooting.
Jeffrey was found guilty of grievous bodily harm and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
He will be sentenced on March 25 in 2024.
Detective Inspector Gary Harreman said: “It was pure luck that this was not a murder investigation.
“Jeffrey recklessly fired a gun twice into a group of people and it is only right that the jury has found him guilty."

Jeffrey was arrested on July 19 in 2023 and charged that day.
The court heard that police were called at 8.22pm on May 25 in 2023 to reports a gun had been fired into Garden Place in Hackney.
Emergency service crews found the boy, 15, with a gunshot injury to his leg. He was taken to an east London hospital for treatment.
The force established that the suspect rode a bike to the scene, got off and shot at the victim before cycling away.
