A man arrested after threats were allegedly made to staff and shoppers at a Sainsbury’s store in Hackney.
The Metropolitan Police were called at around 4.40pm on Sunday (December 24) to reports of a man causing a disturbance at the supermarket in Amhurst Park, Stamford Hill.
Officers arrested a 38-year-old man on suspicion of common assault and assault of an emergency services worker.
He was taken into police custody, an outcome for which is still awaited.

A Met Police spokesperson said no injuries were sustained in the incident.
A video clip of an altercation between a man and security staff shows him apparently being dragged out of the store.

Officers continue to enquire into the circumstances of the case. The Gazette has contacted Sainsbury's for a comment.
