A pensioner is in hospital after a crash with a motorbike near an Overground station.
Police were called to Upper Clapton Road just after 6.30am this morning (October 26) after a crash between a pedestrian and a motorbike.
A man in his early 80s was found to have been injured in the crash near Clapton station.
He was subsequently rushed to hospital by London Ambulance Service (LAS).
A police spokesperson said that it is believed his injuries were “not serious”, but that they are waiting for an update on his condition from the hospital.
Upper Clapton Road was shut while emergency services worked at the scene, but re-opened shortly before 8.15am.
