The family of a missing woman have been informed after a body was found on train tracks.
Vanessa Ford was reportedly last seen near to Richmond Road in Hackney on (September 23).
A body was found on the line close to Dalston Kingsland on the same day at 11.49am.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “We have been made aware of an investigation by the British Transport Police following a death on tracks between Dalston Kingsland and Hackney Central on Saturday morning and are liaising with them.
“While formal identification awaits, the family of Vanessa Ford have been informed of this development.”
In a now deleted missing appeal, Vanessa was said to be last seen wearing a dark top and leggings.

British Transport Police said that officers were called to the line close to Dalston Kingsland to reports of a “casualty on the tracks”.
A spokesperson said: “Paramedics also attended - however, sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
