A woman has been arrested after a cyclist was hit by a car, leaving him in a critical condition.
Police were called to Kenworthy Road in Homerton shortly before 7.45pm yesterday evening (September 10).
A cyclist, a man aged in his 20s, was found injured at the scene having being hit by a car that then crashed into another vehicle.
He was rushed to hospital for treatment where he remains in a critical condition.
A 24-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) by dangerous driving.
A police spokesperson said that she remains in custody at this time and that enquiries into the incident continue.
Kenworthy Road was closed into the early hours of this morning (September 11) while emergency services worked at the scene of the crash, but has since re-opened.
