Three teenagers will appear in court after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed to death.
Deshaun James Tuitt, from Hackney, was 15 when he was fatally stabbed in Highbury Fields, Islington, shortly before 9pm on August 4, 2022.
Three boys, one 16 and two aged 15, have been charged with the murder and are set to appear in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court today (July 6).
All three had been previously arrested in August and September 2022 and bailed while further enquiries were conducted.
Sandrina Tuitt, Deshaun’s aunt, previously said it was “heart-wrenching” for the family to “live life knowing he’s never coming back”.
A spokesperson for Deshaun’s family said: “Deshaun was a son, brother, nephew and cousin and the whole family are devastated by his death.”
They added that “no parent should have to experience the feeling of police knocking on their door” and that “words cannot describe” the hurt the family felt.
The investigation into the circumstances of Deshaun’s murder continues, anyone with information is asked to call police on 020 8345 3865, or call 101 or Tweet @MetCC quoting 7948/04AUG.
