A man in his 30s died on a Hackney street this morning after suffering a head injury.
Paramedics administered CPR to the victim in Kingsland High Street in Dalston, but despite their best efforts he was declared dead at the scene.
The Metropolitan Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 5.03am when they found the man unresponsive in the street. Officers are now working to confirm his identity and inform his next of kin.
No arrests have been made so far and at this stage, police say they are treating it as an ‘unexpected’ death pending further enquiries.
A crime scene remains in place and police have cordoned off the street.
The AA has reported that the Kingsland High street is closed both ways between A104 Balls Pond Road (Dalston Junction) and Sandringham Road.
