Hackney residents were left terrified after swastikas were found graffitied on a block of flats.
A social media post on Twitter from Jewish voluntary neighbourhood watch group Shomrim (Stamford Hill), shows pictures of the symbol scrawled on signs and other property near Portland Avenue in Stamford Hill.
The post said: "Shomrim have received multiple calls from very scared residents reporting that the property has been covered with swastikas."

The Metropolitan Police confirmed they were contacted on Friday (March 10) regarding antisemitic graffiti that had been drawn onto an address in Portland Avenue.
A spokesperson for the Met said: "The graffiti is suspected to have been drawn around a week prior.

"The Central East Command Unit does not tolerate hate crime and takes such incidents very seriously.
"Officers have visited the victim and have conducted reassurance patrols in the area following the report."

The Met said that no arrests had been made at this time.
