A man is fighting for his life in hospital after a knife attack at a station.
Armed officers rushed to Hackney Central station following initial reports of a firearms incident today (March 1) at 1.29pm.
However once at the scene a man was found with stab wounds and he was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
An air ambulance was spotted landing near the station this afternoon.
The station has been closed since as officers investigate.

British Transport Police says officers want to speak to any witnesses or anyone in the area at the time, as it could help with their investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 334 of March 1.
