Horrifying footage shows flames licking from a balcony doorway during a blaze in a block of flats.
The London Fire Brigade (LFB) was called to Amhurst Park, Stamford Hill, at 4.06pm today (Wednesday, February 15).
The brigade says half of a flat on the sixth floor of a seven-storey building was alight.
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters from Homerton and surrounding fire stations worked at the scene.
The fire was under control by 5.44pm.
Footage posted on social media by the brigade showed flames and smoke billowing from a flat on the top floor of a residential block.

The brigade’s 999 control officers have taken more than 40 calls about the incident.
