A man has been charged with the fatal stabbing of a 26-year-old man in Hackney Wick.

Police were called at around 4.30am on Saturday, February 11 after two people presented at an east London hospital having suffered stab wounds.

One of the men, Trei Daley, of Bromley, died in hospital.

His family have been informed and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course, according to the Metropolitan Police.

A second man, aged 24, was discharged from hospital later that same day.

A 35-year-old man was arrested yesterday (Monday, February 13).

Christopher Appiah-Blay, of Wick Road, Hackney, was charged today (Tuesday, February 13) with murder and possession of an offensive weapon.

He has been kept in custody and will appear at Willesden Magistrates' Court today.
