Firefighters rescued two men from a blaze on the first floor of a house.
One man was taken to hospital after being injured in the fire in Dericote Road, Hackney, on Wednesday.
Another, who was saved by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus who climbed stairs inside the property to reach him, was treated at the scene.

The London Fire Brigade was called at 9.08pm and had been extinguished by 9.56pm.
The blaze, which damaged the first floor of the terraced house, was attended by 25 responders and four fire engines from Bethnal Green, Homerton and Shoreditch fire stations.
A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: “The first fire engine arrived within four minutes and the second within six minutes.”
The cause of the fire is not yet known. An investigation is underway.
