Gang rivalry causes innocent teen to die, Old Bailey hears.

A TEENAGE schoolgirl shot dead with a machine gun in a Hoxton takeaway was the innocent victim of a gang feud, the Old Bailey heard.

Agnes Sina-Inakoju, 16, of St Brelades Court, De Beauvoir estate, was standing with friends in Hoxton Chicken and Pizza when two youths on bicycles rode up outside.

Without stopping one of the duo pulled out a 9mm sub-machine gun and fired a single shot through the window which ripped through Agnes’ neck at 7.15pm on April 14 last year.

The killers rode off and the Haggerston School pupil died two days later.

Prosecutor Simon Denison QC told the court on Tuesday March 8: “It was as callous and cold-blooded as it could be, carried out in broad daylight in a busy street in Hoxton.”

Prosecutors allege the shooting happened due to a feud between the London Fields Boys and the Hoxton Boys gangs.

Leon Dunkley, 22, of Hackney, is accused of pulling the trigger while Mohammed Smoured, 22 of Hackney, of being the lookout. The court heard both are members of the London Fields Boys.

The court heard the murder weapon was recovered along with a converted Umarex Walther P99 self loading pistol with ammunition a week later when a police officer recovered a bag discarded by a 16 year-old he was chasing.

The court heard more guns, including a loaded Mac 10 sub-machine gun, a loaded shotgun and a loaded .38 revolver, were recovered from the home of a 15 year-old boy used by the gang to store their weapons.

Dunkley and Smoured, both deny murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

A 17 year-old boy from Hackney denies firearms charges and assisting an offender.

A 16 year-old boy, also from Hackney, denies firearms charges.
